About

The Home of Hope’s Mission

Our mission is to provide positive-living counseling and special nutritional and medical support to children orphaned with AIDS, while preparing them for an independent life.

Programs Overview

Our goals are to:

  • Provide voluntary counseling to deal with traumatic stress and where appropriate supply anti-retroviral drugs to the children it serves.
  • Make education accessible and available to these underprivileged children. The children we shall be working with at this time are primary school pupils, and we will not have to pay any tuition for them. However, we will purchase necessary scholastic materials for them.

  • Provide breakfast and lunch for kindergarten children 5 days a week and for all other children at least 2 days per week because we believe that proper nutrition is important. We will start off with around 20 kids, but the number will increase as we raise more money. We shall not deny any deserving children a chance to be part of us.
  • Provide programs in preventive health, social and recreation opportunities for these children. These children will have access to age-appropriate information and education on sexual and reproductive health, including HIV and AIDS, and they will be encouraged to openly share this information with other children and relatives.
  • Bridge the digital divide between these impoverished kids and the rich. We shall do this by offering computer because we believe that computer and its related technological skills will prepare these children for the challenges ahead in today’s globalized world where information technology is the key to survival.
