Costs
What will it cost?
The Home of Hope operates without any governmental assistance. Our sole means of operational support is from individual donations, churches, not-for-profit organizations and local businesses. For example, Madeya Anglican Church, provides free-of-charge space for our activities at this time. 10 of our friends have also donated their used clothes and books. The Home of Hope is solely run by volunteers at this time. We are developing a partnership with some NGOs in Kenya to train peer counselors free-of-charge who in turn will provide voluntary counseling/education to these children.
We plan to recruit the peer counselors from the local community and will comprise recent high school graduates and university students on holiday. These peer counselors will work under the tutelage of two professional counselors, who have agreed to donate their time three times per week to help these children.

We estimate that the monthly cost of support for each child will be approximately $50 x 20 children = $1,000 per month. This will cover the following
- Food
- Medical Care
- Education materials.
- Toys
- Transportation
- Personal items as needed.
Our goal is to grow into a top-notch school that will mirror the home environment, and we know that our needs will change on a continual basis, but we shall adjust our budget as needed to meet the organization’s needs.
We welcome your help.
